Its only a few short weeks since we were let out to play again and already our training sessions are in full swing, we’ve had our first Bike TT of the season and our cubbies have started racing again. In the next few weeks we will have our first Club race of the season (28 November) and our second ever Women’s triathlon (12 December) complete with dedicated training clinics, plus Swim TT (this Saturday, 20th) and first ‘ín-person’ Run TT (2 December). We will then pause for breath (and a wee snifter) at our end-of-year drinks (Saturday 11 December) and a break from training over the festive season (after 18 December).
Full details of all this and more are below, but an updated summary of key dates for the season is available via THIS LINK.
RACE RESULTS UPDATE
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Huskisson Triathlon Festival or the Manly CC Bike Time Trial at West Head, both on the weekend of 6/7 November. A real pleasure to see BTC members back out racing again.
Details of race results for BTC members from Husky are available HERE and results from the Bike TT and updated BTC Age Group championship points are available HERE.
BTC SQUARE ONE PHYSIO CLUB RACE – SUNDAY, 28 NOVEMBER
It’s now less than two weeks to our first Club Race of the season, sponsored by our good friends at SquareOne Phyiso. We are so looking forward to welcoming you back to race around beautiful Middle Head.
REMEMBER GEORGE? – HE’S BACK!!!
Remember this Legend from our Club Race in February this year? This is George Hatoum, who had the most epic kit fail (or series of epic kit fails) you could ever fear to have, but won our hearts with his irrepressible smile and sense of fun, completing the run leg of the race in a pair of borrowed cargo pants and one of our hi-viz vests.
So impressed were we at George’s positive attitude and good humor we said we would invite him back to race in one of our Club Races this season.
Well, we are delighted to report that George has taken us up on the offer and will be racing on 28 November – hopefully in a more appropriate kit than last time. Please keep an eye out for him and give him a warm BTC welcome.
